“The Lady A's Story"

OUR BEGINNING

Established in 2009, Lady A’s Braids & Weaves Studio, LLC is an award-winning, Black-owned, faith-centered hair studio proudly rooted in the Humble–Atascocita community. Lady A’s was founded during a time when this area looked very different than it does today, and we are proud to have been the first Black-owned salon of our kind in the Humble area—bringing an elevated, appointment-based approach to professional braiding, weave extensions, protective styling and natural hair care.

OUR VISION 


Our vision was different from the beginning. Lady A’s was created to combine beautiful protective styling with the professionalism, customer service and healthy-hair care clients deserved. Shampooing, conditioning, treatments, trims, scalp care and protecting the natural hair underneath the style became part of the Lady A’s experience. What began with Lady A building her clientele while working between Houston and Humble grew into a professional salon serving clients throughout Humble, Atascocita, Kingwood, Porter and the greater Houston area.

OUR GROWTH & RECOGNITION


Over the years, our commitment to exceptional service, professionalism, and healthy hair care has earned Lady A's Braids & Weaves Studio recognition throughout the Humble community.

In 2024, Lady A's received the Best of Humble Business Hall of Fame recognition for six consecutive years (2019–2024) in the Beauty, Braids & Hair Weaving category.

Our dedication continued to receive recognition in November 2025, when BusinessRate ranked Lady A's #1 in Humble, TX 77396, in the Hair Salon category, based on Google reviews.

As our business has grown, so has our commitment to healthy hair care, including the development of our own professional hair-care products, continued client education, and a salon experience built on quality, comfort, and personalized service.

Giving back has also remained an important part of who we are. Lady A’s supports our community through local partnerships, school and youth initiatives, back-to-school and holiday giving, clothing and household donations, complimentary salon services, product giveaways, financial contributions and outreach to families in need. Whether the contribution is large or small, we believe that being part of a community means helping where we can.

What services do you offer at Lady A's?

We specialize in professional protective styling and healthy hair care, including Traditional, Knotless, Goddess and Natural Box Braids, Locs, Sew-In Extensions, Kinky Twists, Cornrow Styles, Crochet Styles, Natural hair services and more. Our services are designed with both beautiful results and the health of your natural hair in mind.

Are same day appointments available?

Lady A’s is an appointment-based hair studio and does not accept walk-ins. Same-day appointments may be available when our schedule permits. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred stylist, service, date and time.

What is your approach to hair care?

Healthy hair and scalp care are at the heart of what we do. We offer Lady April Deep Repair Treatments, Aloe Vera Steam Treatments and maintenance services to help care for the natural hair beneath protective styles. Clients also have access to our exclusive Lady April Professional hair care collection, created to support moisture, strength and an overall healthier hair and scalp experience.

Lady A’s offers a clean, professional and welcoming salon environment where clients can relax and enjoy their service. Our studio combines a peaceful, uplifting atmosphere with good vibes, music, TV, comfortable seating and friendly professional stylists.
